Go Big and Grow Homes!

Note from the Executive Director

I hope you like my play on words there. Go big and grow homes represents KulshanCLT’s staff and board’s focus for the next few years. We’ve set bold goals for growing our capacity to help more families realize the dream of owning a home in the community they love. 

Every day I talk with community members impacted by rapidly increasing home prices. Often families are faced with moving after learning the home they’ve been renting is now being sold in the hot market, then are horrified to learn how difficult it is to find a new rental and compete in today's housing market. My own daughter would love to move back to Bellingham but doesn’t see a viable way given rents and home prices. 

The problem is getting worse and at the same time, I am hopeful. KulshanCLT, with your help, is growing our capacity to build more homes. We will be building 35 or more homes in the next three years and continue adding more land to our pipeline. By growing KulshanCLT’s proven model, we can help more families, like Cathalina and Elile, own their own homes and put down roots. It’s still possible!
